DOUG LOVELOCK

A London-based composer and orchestrator for film, TV and videogames. Doug Lovelock is known for his work on the shorts Somewhere Loud and M.I.K.E, and is currently working on the debut-project for Ethereal Studios, Gift of the Gods.

Composer/Orchestrator

A British composer based in London, Doug 's style leans heavily into melodic and textural writing for his scores in Film, TV and Games. He is known for his work on the shorts SOMEWHERE LOUD and M.I.K.E. He studied Composition at the University of Surrey, and holds diplomas in Conducting & Media Scoring from the Girton Conductor's Programme and University of the Arts Utrecht respectively.

Alongside his work for media, he has been successful on the international stage, placing 3rd in the World Piano Day International Competition with his piece "Through Dreams". He also runs a solo artist project where he explores the solo piano aesthetic that initially sparked his passion for music almost 20 years ago.

He has assisted the composer Daniel Nolan (Doom Scroll, The WIld Ones), is currently mentoring under Oscar-Nominee Gary Yershon (Mr Turner, Hard Truths) through the SoundBoard Incentive and attended the Screen Music Programme 2026 where he worked with leading composers Sean Callery (Halo, Homeland, The Beast In Me), Michael Abels (Get Out, Nope, Us) and Simon Franglen (Avatar: Way of Water, Avatar: Fire and Ash, The Magnificent Seven). In addition to his work as a composer and producer, he is a skilled pianist and educator.
